This school is situated in the Matara District of the Southern Province. It is about 9 kilometers away from the City of Matara. It also lies on the main Colombo Tangalle Road. It is a Navodya School and nearly 700 students are studying in it. The Principal of the school is Mr. T.H. Nelson Chandrasiri. He is working hard to develop the school. The academic staff consists of 43 teachers and the non-academic staff consists of 7 members. There is a library which consists of reading and lending sections. In addition, there are two well equipped laboratories and a Computer Unit where the students can gain knowledge of Information Technology. It has classes from Grade 1 - 13 and Advanced Level classes are held only in Arts and Commerce streams. |
